What an incredible week for our Fury Platinum Wilmouth 14U team at the USA Softball Eastern Nationals! Over four challenging days, these athletes demonstrated remarkable determination, resilience, and heart while facing tough competition.
With an impressive 7-3 record, they secured Runner-Up honors in the 16B Division, proving their ability to compete against older, skilled opponents at every turn. The tournament was marked by a powerful offensive display, with the team amassing 79 hits and scoring 55 runs, including 66 singles, 11 doubles, and 2 home runs, while the pitching staff achieved an impressive 66 strikeouts. Championship Sunday tested their grit as the team played six games in one day, spending nearly 13 hours at the ballpark and enduring two International Tiebreaker games—one lasting an astounding nine innings.

Despite the physical and mental demands, these young athletes never stopped competing, never backed down, and continued to support each other until the final out. Their tournament concluded with a hard-fought championship game against a talented Lightning Fastpitch 16U team. Although the title ultimately slipped away, the team’s relentless effort, toughness, and unwavering belief in one another were evident. We couldn’t be prouder of how these young ladies represented our organization, their families, and themselves. Their resilience, teamwork, and passion for the game made this an unforgettable week and a tremendous achievement.
Congratulations and we are #platinumproud!
