A Big Summer!

After earning their AFCS berth in October by winning ACFL Fall Championship in Richmond, the team battled through top-tier events across the country to prepare them for this national event including:

• East Coast Showcase (NJ)

• Scenic City Top 25 (GA)

• TCS Sparkler, 14u National Power Pool, (CO)

• USA Softball 16u A/Open Nationals (VA)

• Alliance Fastpitch Championship Series (IN)

AFCS is an invite-only tournament designed to bring the top teams from around the country, and teams are initially seeded by their Alliance event points earned over the full year/season. The six-day event structure is grueling, with all games 7-inning, no-time limit through the hot summer days and nights. But the girls came to play, battling through 10 games (63 innings) which included two gritty, walk off wins in the bottom of the 7th inning during Super Regionals! Another signature win landed them in the Elite 8 of Tier II, and ultimately a top 5 finish in the Tier.
